The following represent collections of historical and metaphysical information of vital interest to all Christian Scientists. This body of information comprises the single greatest source of historical and metaphysical material available for nearly 50 years—aside from Mary Baker Eddy's own writings—information that provides unique and inspired insights into her life and demonstrations. It is our desire to make this information available to serious students of Christian Science in much the same way The Bookmark and Rare Book Company have done for decades. Most of what you will see on Christian Science Library's website is available from these two establishments as well, pioneers in the preservation of the spiritual history of Christian Science and its Founder.

Christian Science Library will be expanding its offerings to include much of this material in varying useful formats. With the launch of this website we have made available in digital ebook format two of the most significant books Christian Scientists have ever read—Divinity Course and General Collectanea and Essays and Other Footprints, both compiled by Richard Oakes from information preserved by the Carpenters. We hope you enjoy these offerings.

Carpenter Collection — Gilbert Congdon Carpenter, C.S.B. was a secretary in Mrs. Eddy's Pleasant View home from March, 1905, to March, 1906. He and his son, Gilbert Jr., preserved much of the information that today comprises a vast treasury of first-hand accounts of Mary Baker Eddy's demonstrations of what she discovered and labored so many years to establish as the Cause of Christian Science.

Oakes Collection — Richard Oakes compiled a massive anmount of information concerning Mary Baker Eddy and the founding of her church. Much of this wealth of information was put in book form and published either by Richard Oakes himself, and/or by The Christian Science Reasearch Library.

Stetson Collection — Augusta E. Stetson, C.S.D. was one of Mary Baker Eddy's most successful students, a prominent figure in the Christian Science Cause, responsible for establishing the enormously successful First Church of Christ, Scientist in New York. At the same time Augusta Stetson was surrounded by a level of controversy that has extended to the present day. Here Christian Science Library presents a body of work by and about Augusta Stetson, that will be of interest to all students wishing to gain a better understanding of this important and successful figure in the history of Christian Science.
